Alumni Legacy Scholarship - Carries on the CMU Tradition

The Alumni Legacy Scholarship is offered to encourage the CMU spirit in students who are children and grandchildren of CMU graduates. "Generations of families have passed on the CMU tradition to their children and grandchildren, and we want to help celebrate this special relationship by offering the Alumni Legacy Scholarship," says Mary Lu Yardley, director of alumni relations. This scholarship benefits the children and grandchildren of CMU alumni. Recipients are freshmen or transfer students, and the Alumni Association Board of Directors selects the recipients based on the students' applications.
"Alumni have been contributing to the scholarship fund for the last few years, and we're excited to now be able to offer the annual scholarship," Yardley says. "This is just one more way that we're strengthening the bond between the university, our alumni and our students."
