Dear CMU alumni and friends, It's that time of year! We're planning several get-togethers for our alumni - including our annual golf outings. We hope to see you at one or many of these events that we have planned in the upcoming months. It is important to us that you keep in touch with your alma mater and have the opportunity to network with fellow alumni and friends of the university. We are anxious to know what challenges, joys and successes your life has brought since graduation.

Michigan Summer Golf Outings!
The dates for the 2004 Golf Outings are still being set. If you would like more information on how to become involved in helping to plan a Golf Outing in your area, please call the Alumni Relations Office at 1-800-358-6903.

Drive with Chippewa Pride
Michigan drivers can show their school spirit with a new license plate which displays CMU's motion c logo. As of August 25th, there were 3,600 CMU plates on Michigan Roads. Get yours today!

example Michigan auto license plate with Flying C Purchasing these plates not only shows that you are "true to your school," but provides CMU's Alumni Association with additional funds to help support the programs and services that connect more than 160,000 alumni worldwide with their alma mater. The cost of the official plate is $35 more than the annual vehicle registration, of which the association will receive $25. Each time the plate is renewed, a $10 renewal fee will be collected and sent to the alumni association as well. The collector version is available for a one-time fee of $35, with $25 going to the association. Plates are available for passenger vehicles, motor homes, noncommercial vans, and pick-up trucks.

These plates can be purchased at any Michigan Secretary of State branch office. Application forms can also be downloaded here. Log on to http://www.michigan.gov/sos or call (989) 322-1460 for Michigan Secretary of State office locations and hours.
