I am CMU:
Chris Metry

Political science senior
Fan extraordinaire
Why he’s hoarse all the time:
I haven’t missed a home game.
The road to being a Rose Rowdy:
You go to three games and get a T-shirt,
and then you’re in.
What it’s like being in the Rose Rowdies section: You don’t sit. You cheer and yell. We try to pump up our team. And you go to create a hostile environment for the visiting team. You have to make it harder for them.
What’s so hostile about a bunch of college students? People bring in signs and make fun of the other players when they’re shooting. When the opposing team’s coach gets up, we all yell, “Sit down, coach!”
What’s the deal with the newspapers? When they announce the other team, we turn around and read newspapers. Then we throw them up in the air and yell,
“Who cares?”
Biggest annoyance: Western. You always want to beat the rival. •
