Executive Director Comments
There are more than 150,000 Central Michigan University graduates. About
three-quarters of our graduates attended classes on campus, while the rest of
our alumni have graduated from off campus programs offered by our
College of Extended Learning.
CMU graduates live in every state in the United States, the District of
Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Though most live in Michigan (about 90,000), there
also are large concentrations of CMU alumni in Ohio, Florida, Virginia,
California, Texas, Maryland, Illinois, Georgia, Indiana, Colorado and Arizona.
In Michigan, CMU alumni live in all 83 counties. The largest
concentrations of CMU alumni are in Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Kent, Isabella,
Saginaw, Genesee, Midland, Ingham, Bay and Grand Traverse counties.
More than 1,400 CMU alumni live in other parts of the world, including
France, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia. More than 1,000 CMU alumni live in
Canada.
Every CMU graduate is a member of the university's alumni association.
