Dr. Gina Geissler, Au.D. '02, has made more than a dozen mission trips over the past six years to the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico to help children hear.

She started traveling to medically underserved communities when she was a student at CMU, conducting hearing tests and fabricating and fitting hearing aids for children. She has continued this work after graduation.

Gina owns Dr. Geissler's Hearing Center in Hammond, Indiana. She serves as the Chicago-area contact for The Hearing Foundation. Over the years Gina also has been a guest lecturer for Pfizer Laboratories, the Auditory Engineering Society, and Columbia College.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
